Yes the ramen is worth coming back for again and again!
yes
You can ask for the Vegetarian Ramen with Miso broth, that's completely vegetarian. Not vegan because it comes with a boiled egg, but the rest is plant-based. It's delicious, by the way :-)
Yes. They are on skip the dishes.
The nearest SkyTrain station is Downtown City Centre on Canada Line, not very near. You will need to use otrer type of public transit (buses), or walk from that station.
Do not think that I see that option on their menu.
It's pretty tight in there, I wouldn't say it's wheelchair accessible.
About $ 13 in Canada, if I remember correctly
No, I believe it has bone stock.
He's in his 50s.
Very nice customer service! The noodles and broth compliment each other very well, as well as the eggs and pork slices. A little bit on the spicy side, but I would still recommend this place. Very good in general!
Shio is awesome, full of flavor, rich and balanced. Miso is full of bean sprouts, amount is 1:1 to noodles, absolutely loosing taste, really disappointed.
It's edible. Eggs are good.
Best ramen in Vancouver! Prices are cheap with large portion sizes!

Always been my place to go for ramen. Huge portion of noodles and soup base. Their soup base made with pork bones that have been boil for hours.
Good portion of food with a fair quality. But they are VERY CREATIVE coming up with a new way to charge you more! Not even a heads-up before you order!
The best ramen in Vancouver. I have been going there for years and the quality has not changed. The broth is so rich and wholesome -- the flavour on a bomb level. Honestly, why eat anywhere else when you can eat at Kintaro?
Classic ramen spot in Vancouver. They set up shop way before Ramen was trendy or fancy. Kintaro quality, portions & pricing is on point. Always worth the lineup. Never pretentious. Always classic.
I have been here 3 times now and I love it. Great Ramen especially considering the low price tag. Many options on the menu and I have never tasted a bad one. Great atmosphere and the staff are super nice and considerate. Definitely recommend coming here. The only negative I can think of is the building is a little crummy, but that has nothing to do with the quality.
The food is so flavourful!
My opinion is kind of biases as I don’t eat pork and their main soup broths are made with pork. With this being said I still enjoyed their vegetarian soup and found myself full and satisfied. Everyone I spoke with tells me that this is their favourite ramen restaurant. The staff were kind and full of smiles.
The Ramen here was wonderful with many different choices to choose from. Depending on the time you go, the waiting times can get kind of long but its all worth it when you sit down and order your Ramen. This is one of my go to places during COVID-19.
Been going here for over 8 years now, as always, the food was amazing.
Not busy today at 3pm. Had the spicy vege option which was quite filling (large portion lots of veges) but saw the ramen with everything in it. Will attempt to eat it on my next visit
Great little Ramen place. Good prices. Fast service. Clean and tidy.
Extremely good and Inexpensive Ramen. Staff are very friendly as well. I'm a pretty big eater but even the 9.95 Shoyu Ramen just fills me right up great place to go for lunch. They fill up quickly so best try to get in early.
I’m vegetarian, this is my favourite restaurant in Vancouver. I even bought the kintaro shirt! Huge portions and so tasty!!! Thanks
Good as usual, ramen is great ( misu ramen, rich and fat all the way) staff is nice even in the current situation. Support local business!
I always eat Miso ramen with medium fat soup and lean meat. There are more expensive stuff too but i go there for miso ramen. Friendly staffs and nice atmosphere.
I always come back to this place. It is my favorite ramen restaurant. The premium ramens (like cheese) are really interesting.
The cheese ramen is just ok and not something I would really get again. The other dishes here were great .
Still serving great ramen after all these years. Tasty and large in portion. Can't beat the price and quality.
It's just so good. The cheese ramen is a must have.
I love their vegetarian ramen. Usually busy but they are always sweet and kind. Comfort factor is high here, never mind a slight draft in the winter.
Kintaro Ramen is the holy grail when it comes to authentic flavourful ramen in Vancouver. I haven't found any other ramen place that comes close really. Also, the portions are great too given that each menu item is reasonably priced. Before your first visit to Kintaro, please be forewarned that it probably won't be your last. If you hate driving all the way to Vancouver, do yourself a favor and avoid Kintaro Ramen at all costs 🍜. They're really that good.
one of my favorite ramen in Vancouver. I enjoy their shio ramen and Spicy Garlic ramen with rich broth the most.
I had read that this was one of the best ramen restaurants in the city. They really have their system down. The restaurant is small but if you are waiting in line they take your order so that when you eventually get a seat you don't wait long for your food. They have a somewhat simple menu but something for everyone. We all had different versions and they were so tasty. I would be sure to stop by if you would like an authentic Ramen experience.
The Ramen is affordable and in large quantity. Good for 1~2 people but if you have 3+ people in your group, you may need to wait for more time.
Coming from Toronto, where they only give you two slices of meat and only half an egg, having such a huge portion was thrilling. But it was just ok. Broth was so so, meat flavours were good, egg was perfect. Too many bean sprout.
My favourite ramen! The portions are massive and the flavour never fails to impress. There might be a wait to get it, but they keep things moving quickly. Everyone who works here is friendly and attentive. Also, your water glass will never be empty - seriously, test it. They are so keen on refills, ha!
Small little venue but super busy! Open kitchen let's you watch the chef prepare the Ramen before your very eyes, super cool. Rich, medium and mild broth options, fatty or lean pork options. One of the few Ramen places I can finish all the broth and still love myself😂
Hands down one of the best ramen joints in Vancouver. Service is quick and friendly while the quality of ramen is amazing (good decent size of food). The space however is very small which is why there is a good chance of a line up outside and not sure why an egg would be a separate charge. An egg should always be included (in my opinion) in ramen.
>>> Based On My Personal REAL Experience** This Is NOT A Paid Nor Reward Feedback <<< Very kind staff and good reason for almost perpetual line up.I had #3 Kintaros Best. Fatty pork. Med Broth (richness lvl). If was good for sure but I wished I had picked ‘Rich’. I wouldn’t rave about it but I’d still highly recommend going!
Ramen was delicious with lots of rich flavour as well as a large portion we ordered the Shio Ramen (rich + fatty meat). Service was very good too, they only have 3 tables for seating due to the pandemic. However, they work as quick as they can taking your order while you’re waiting in line and we did not have to wait tremendously long. Would recommend to others!
The best ramen that I've ever had! Decent prices and very attention service.
I love KintaRo Ramen!! Been eating at this place for many years, even though at times, they are busy with long line ups. It is worth the wait for their quality ramen in slow cooked broth, with sumptuous toppings. Last night I craved for ramen and drove to Denman to have one. It happened to be their 20 years anniversary!! They treated all clients a Ramen miso bowl for $5!! Such good service too. Congratulations and thank you for continuing to bring a piece of Japanese traditions here in Vancouver.
Nice Ramen in the city. You can choose Fat / No Fat Chasu. Great Soup Base. Nice service
Best ramen place in town! Generous portion sizes and delicious meat. Price is reasonable and service is top notch! Been here a dozen times and will continue to visit.
The reason there is an almost constant line up outside this tiny restaurant is because it is the best and most authentic ramen in town. Great food and great value. Sit at the bar to see how they make it.
The broth and ramen is good here. The portion sizes are generous and the staff friendly. I tried cheese Ren here for the first time. Not my favorite as the amount of mozzarella overpowered the welcome cheddar. The meat cuts here are always good.
First time there. Have been to all the other big name ramen places in the area. Kintaro was surprisingly good. We got the bbq pork spicy garlic ramen. It was huge. The broth was very deep in flavour and thelarge portion of meat was nicely marinated. For the price you can't beat it.
One of the best ramen I've had outside of Japan! Very delicious rich soup and fatty pork. And large portion.
Best Ramen in Vancouver. Spicy Garlic is my favorite.
Prices remain reasonable after all these years unlike all the other ramen shops. The pork is still one of the best I've ever had; thick, fatty and tender. This was where I had my first bowl of ramen about 12 years ago and I still crave this a few times a year. The soup base seems to have changed a few years back and is not as flavorful, but the meat, portion and price brings me back often.
While I chose to order a less traditional ramen, holy hell. This was exactly what I needed for lunch on a cold(ish) exploration of the city. I had the rich broth with lean BBQ pork ramen. So rich, so salty, so warm and hearty. One bowl will suffice.
Excellent ramen, fresh noodles, and a choice of rich, medium or light broth. Truly tasty and satisfying.
Great service, large portions. The ramen was so tasty and you get a great deal for the price. All of the staff are very courteous.
Worth the 35 min wait in line. Delicious!!!
Heard a lot about this place! Decided to check it out. Food was really good. Huge portion for only $11. I was so full had to take some home! Place is a bit rundown but the service was amazing and felt very homey! Will definitely come again when I’m in the area!
